What is an Astrology Sign?
“What’s your sign?” It’s a cliché nowadays, yet one that everyone knows. “I’m a Taurus.” “I’m a Virgo.” “I’m a Pisces.” But what does that even mean? How does each sign find its own meaning, symbolism and context?
Simply put, it is based on two things: elements and modalities. We’ll start with the elements: fire, earth, air and water. Fire is outgoing, impulsive, active and warm. Earth is grounded, practical, secure and tangible. Air is thinking, talking, writing, learning. Water is emotion, intuition, depth. As you can see, each element is both metaphorical and literal.

All of the United States founding fathers were Masons and astrologers; Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, etc.
All of the important events of the government were timed to astrology. The country was founded in Cancer, Election Day is in Scorpio, and Inauguration day used to be in Pisces until FDR (an Aquarian) changed it to Aquarius. This completed a Grand Trine in Water.
